Humanitarian Art
Song
Lida
Sherafatmand
is a a painter/artist and teaches Art to
children in schools.
The main themes of her paintings are Human Rights
and Peace.
She says" Painting, like any other branch of the arts,
is a calling, a way of life. It is a vocation to
observe beauty and to capture
it in a picture by means of some paint and a brush. It is realized in the
creation
of or co-creation of a beautiful picture that can
touch, and move other human beings.
A true work of art reflects the soul of the artist
who creates it, and the aesthetic
experience of the viewer, on taking in the work of
art, sterns from his/her inner being too.
Thus through the work of art a deep exchange takes
place, a unique sort of interplay.
One could even speak of an inter-communication which
is universal, since it transcends
language barriers, cultural, and even historical
differences, since works of art created
centuries ago may still appeal to and be appreciated by persons living
today.
